Shadows of the South
100/50 Mile
Saturday April 23, 2022
Both races start in Otto, North Carolina. The 50 ends at the Beautiful Camp Rainey Mountain, and the 100 ends at the Bad Creek Day Use Area. The race traverses three states- Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The course takes runners over technical mountain trails, passing several towering waterfalls, wide open vistas, and peaceful riverside trails. The 50 Mile race is 100% on the 100 mile course! Both races are point-to-point. The 100 Mile course runs from Otto, North Carolina all the way to South Carolina - one way with less than 1 mile of pavement and only 2 miles are repeated. What we call simply “The most wild and scenic 100 mile on the East Coast”. The 50 miler has 15,000 feet of gain and 15,000 feet of loss. The 100 is equally difficult. This is a hard course with a ton of beauty! We can't wait for you to join us!
