Drop Bags:

-
Drop bags are limited to a gallon size ziploc bag, please, no exceptions.
-
Mark them clearly on BOTH sides
-
Mark with your name, bib #, the AS# and mileage they go to
-
Bring bags race day morning and we'll have a spot for you to put them. We'll get them to the proper AS where you'll need them after the race begins.
While we try our best, we are not guaranteeing you will get these back post race. We are unable to mail or make arrangements for them after the end of the race Sunday. Do not put anything you're not willing to part with in your drop bag! We will do our best to get them back to the FINISH line at Central Winds Park. This could be hours after you finish or [hopefully not the case] don't finish. You might be trying to catch a flight etc, so please keep in mind that we are extremely limited on volunteers and are doing our best! Plan drop bags accordingly!

Pacers will be allowed from mile 42 (Phillips Road) onward for 100 mile runners. Runners are allowed one pacer at a time. Crew can access their runner at all aid stations that are marked as “crew allowed” and the other crew access points noted on the aid station matrix. Please note that you may crew your runner in the last 10 miles of the 100 at any place that is safe and legal for you to access them from the road after Lockwood Blvd aid station.
Crew, please respect all runners while driving near them, and give them the right of way and ample space. Be mindful of where you are parking at aid stations! DO NOT block roads, trails, driveways, etc!

Event Rules:
-
100 Miler & 45 Miler - You must have required gear
-
No littering! Please dispose of all trash at aid stations or the finish line
-
No cutting course
-
If a runner is injured, you must stop to assist that runner
-
Do not remove flagging, markers, or directional signs
-
Be kind and respectful to all race volunteers!

Cutoffs:
All cutoffs are the time you must have left the aid station by not the time you must get to the aid station by. You have 10.5 hours to get through the first 30 miles or so. The cutoffs loosen up as the day progresses. All mileage is ish. We want everyone to finish however if you do not make a cut off by 30 seconds or 2 hours you still did not make the cutoff. Please respect this and help us keep the race safe and the volunteers happy.
Post Race:
No post race food or drink per our permits among covid times. Please arrange to have food if you are planning on finishing sub 24, as things might not be open locally at that time.
The city of Winter Springs, Florida where we finish has several restaurants and a Publix grocery store just minutes from the finish line.

Run Bum Tours does not issue refunds, transfers, or deferments.

URGENT - RACE CHANGES - UPDATED 1/31:
Due to extreme mud and water on course, we have been forced to reroute sections of the race. Please make note of the following changes, which are also reflected on all maps/aid station matrixes/and GPX files.
45 MILE ROUTE CHANGES:
1. From Start to Division Aid Station - course is rerouted due to heavy water, making Division 6.5 water drop 6.5 miles not 7.
2. Far Out Aid Station now has an out and back to add mileage that was taken out from course changes. Runners will come through this aid station twice, consecutively, at miles 13.5 and 15.
3. Once Shuttle drops runners off at the Seminole Ranch Loop, please note that the course has changed here due to extreme mud and water down by St. John’s river. Follow flagging.
4. Wheeler Road Crew Access point has been removed. Runners do not go there any more.
5. Seminole Ranch Aid Station was moved slightly further down course.
6. Once runners reach Seminole Ranch, runners will split from the 100 milers – 100 milers will go north on the Florida Trail, while 45 Mile Runners will proceed North on a road bed out and back section. Look for a sign that says turn around. Let us know you made it here! Use the provided marker to mark bib with a smiley face, then go back to the aid station. On the return, runners will proceed down the road with a route that will place you back onto the Florida trail going South.
7. Runners will not be running through the open cattle pasture this year.
100 MILE ROUTE CHANGES:
1. From Start to Division Aid Station, course is rerouted due to heavy water, making Division 6.5 water drop 6.5 miles, not 7.
2. Far Out Aid Station now has an out and back to add mileage that was taken out from course changes. Runners will come through this aid station twice, consecutively, at miles 13.5 and 15.
3. Route in Seminole Ranch has been changed due to extreme mud and water down by St. John’s River. Follow Flagging.
4. Wheeler Road Crew Access has been removed. Runners do not go there anymore.
5. Seminole Ranch Aid Station has been moved slightly further down course.
6. Section between Seminole Ranch Aid Station and Culpepper Aid Station (the 2nd time) is changed in a few places. Review the new map, download the new gpx file, follow flagging and signs over gpx.
7. On Bronson Loop you runners will cross 2-4 ankle to shin deep water crossings on a road which is labeled as a horse trail. There’s concrete on the bottom. RD anticipates these high water sections should be lower by race day based on weather forecasts.
8. After Road 5, expect 2-3 more of the same kind of water crossings.
9. Culpepper bend loop may contain an out and back section if time allows for clearing, please pay attention to signage and flagging.
10. Big Oaks water stop has been changed to the Brumley Road trailhead for Little Big Econ State Forest. Crew will now drive to the end of Brumley Road. In doing so, crew please watch for runners on road, as you will be on the road runners are on.
11. Runners when you proceed down Brumley Road, note that you will be turning RIGHT onto the Florida Trail. It will be marked with a sign, but once you turn right, you will be following the Florida Trail to the Finish. From this point forward runners will follow the orange blaze.
12. An Aid Station has been added at Mile 78 - SNOWHILL AID STATION - Thank the vols who stepped in last minute to help your last miles flow a little more smoothly!
13. Two bridges are out in Little Big Econ after runners cross the MASSIVE BRIDGE on the Flagler Trail, going over Little Big Econ River itself. Runners willl start straight and eventually turn left .4 miles after the bridge. This route is white blazed and will eventually take you back to the orange blazed trail where runners will turn right. RD will place signs there to indicate temporary Florida Trail reroute. (The GPX file is also updated to reflect this.)
14. Crews are allowed to go to Barr Street Trailhead in Little Big Econ and hike the .5 miles into the orange blazed Florida trail.
UPDATED DROP BAG LOCATIONS:
-
End of line mile 30.5
-
Bronson
-
Culpepper Bend
Please note that all of the Drop Bag locations are not accessible to crews or to runners to go to or drive to. The Drop Bag locations are staged where runners will acces them more than once.
We recommended runners put multiple pairs of socks / foot care/ gels etc in these bags.
We will not be returning these bags in a timely manner, if at all. We will not be able to mail Drop Bags back to their owners. Please keep this in mind when creating your bags. We will do our best to bring to the Finish, but it will be after the aid station closes. Remember we are limited on volunteers and doing the best we can. Thanks!
